A true postcard panorama

Directly after or before the Umbrail Pass, you'll come to the turnoff to the Umbrail Pass in Val Müstair. Right next to the road, you can fill your water bottle and cool off a bit at the fountain.

The best time to ride is on the annual Stelvio Bike Day, the last Saturday in August. The pass is closed to cars and motorcycles on all three sides (Prad, Bormio, and Münster (CH)) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It's a real festival for cyclists. No registration required, no entry fee, and refreshment stations along the route!
