A shocking reality: Entire villages had to make way in the border region of the former inner-German border. A place that inspires reflection and is also a paradise for nature lovers. Here, the Green Belt meets the Aland lowlands. The biodiversity is impressive!

A nice ferry experience for people who don't normally travel on small ferries. Inexpensive (1 euro per bike and 0.75 euros per person).

Caution: Currently (as of 10/2023) there is a hornet's nest at the top of the tower that still showed "air traffic" at the beginning of October. So it's better to leave sweets in your bag. The tower is not locked, the nest is marked with red and white ribbon.

I wouldn't have expected it here, it surprised me a bit, it conveys a very maritime flair. It's worth a detour, the whole place is recommended as a tour destination.
