After sixty years the cross on Monte Pendolo in Pimonte was removed and replaced with a new, much higher and more imposing one. The 12m high and 6m wide structure is fully illuminated. The dismantling work began on 25 June and the inauguration of the new cross took place on 29 October 2022. The coordinator of the project was Carmine Amodio who also launched a fundraiser.

Path 303a from Cappella Vecchia is challenging in some sections while the last stretch that leads to the summit is decidedly challenging. The panorama seen from the top of Falerio is very suggestive as the hill dominates the gulf as well as having an unobstructed view of the city of Salerno. The last stretch (300-400 metres) is very demanding and requires a fair amount of mountaineering experience as well as sturdy footwear and gloves to help you get up and down.
