In the heart of the village, yet unobtrusive: The Protestant church in Pretschen, with its pointed spire, rises confidently into the Brandenburg sky – made of red brick, with a clear form and a good foundation. Inside, a bright space surprises, where wood, glass, and text quietly converse with one another. Passing by, you sense that this wasn't a splurge, but a construction – for the community, for Sunday, for eternity. And those sitting outside on the bench gaze at the half-timbered houses, haystacks, and milk cans – as if the village itself had been placed in the window. A place to pause, entirely without pathos.

The painted cloudy sky in the church, which was restored from 1979 to 1984, is surprising and beautiful. And it is apparently always open.

It's an easy section to cycle, with light traffic. However, things can change if the weather is nice. After all, you're in the Spreewald.

The neoclassical church in Kuschkow was built in the 1830s, perhaps even based on plans by Schinkel. The church hall rises from a rectangular floor plan and is plastered. Five large windows are set in pillar arcades on each of the long sides. The main portal is located in the central arcade on the south side. The three-story church tower is partially incorporated into the nave. A horseshoe gallery runs around the simple interior.

The Protestant village church of Krugau is a fieldstone church from the 15th century in Krugau, a district of the municipality of Märkische Heide in the Dahme-Spreewald district in the state of Brandenburg. The parish belongs to the Niederlausitz church district of the Evangelical Church of Berlin-Brandenburg-Silesian Upper Lusatia.

The church was built in 1893 as a rectangular brick building in the neo-Romanesque style based on a design by the architect Friedrich Wilhelm Gründel. The bricks were manufactured in the estate's own brickworks south of Pretschen. A high church tower was built on a square floor plan to the west of the nave. The construction was led by the Pretschen building contractor and carpenter Friedrich Wilhelm Gründel. One third of the construction costs were borne by the community and two thirds by the church's patron saint. The new building replaced a half-timbered church built in 1585.
