Pisterzo is a small town in the province of Latina located in the mountainous area of the Ausoni and overlooking the Amaseno valley from which the Lepini Mountains rise, at 466 m a.s.l. TEMPLE OF SAN RAFFAELE (year 1659) The Tempietto, in neoclassical style, dedicated to S. Raffaele (patron saint of pharmacists) and to the Holy Virgin, stands on the hill of the same name, immersed in the greenery of the park overlooking the town. The Castle of San Martino is located within the park of the same name which extends all around for about 15 hectares. The two access gates are located on S.P San Martino and S.S Marittima II. The Castle was built by Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio, secretary of Pope Gregory XIII, who obtained around 1565 some plots of land from the diocese of Terracina to be able to build his own country house.
