Originally known as "Le Crocette", from June 2022 the steep climb is now a tribute to the Pirate, Marco Pantani, who even without training, during an outing in preparation for the races, detached the group on this stretch. At the top of the climb there is a statue dedicated to the cyclist.

The site of Casale di Madonna del Piano, in the municipality of Castro dei Volsci, is located about 1 km away on the right bank of the Sacco river. Here, since 1984, a program of investigations has been carried out jointly by the Municipality and the Archaeological Superintendency for Lazio aimed at recovering the archaeological structures of a settlement with several phases from the late Republican age (1st century BC) to Early Middle Ages (VII-VIII century AD).

On the right side of the road that leads from Prossedi to Amaseno, built on a bank of the Amaseno river is the Church of Santa Maria del Ponte. The church is opened twice a year: the first Sunday in September and the third Sunday in October on the occasion of a fair of various goods which has replaced the traditional cattle fair.

On the pleasant slopes of Monte Solo stands the church dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. The small building is very reminiscent of the Tuscan parish churches. Its construction should be traced back to at least 1400/1500, based on a small mural fresco preserved inside. While on the small bell tower there is a melted bell, according to the inscription, in 1711. The small church has always been a destination for pilgrims, who stopped to quench their thirst at the well, and, as a sign of veneration, gave white lilies. The feast in honor of the saint falls on June 13 of each year
