The tribe of iron and fire lives here in the former Cava on the banks of the Marecchia River in the peaceful hills of Romagna. Forced to leave England in the late 1980s, in July 1990 they arrived in Sant'Arcangelo, invited to the Piazza Theater Festival, and have never left. Initially welcomed with suspicion, but then increasingly integrated, in 2020 they received the Golden Archangel, Sant'Arcangelo's highest honor. Unfortunately, their brilliance is seriously at risk of being crushed by Italian bureaucracy, which would like to clear and dismantle the area on charges of illegal land occupation. Personally, I see that land transformed into a magical portal that doesn't require a ticket; all it takes is a bit of imagination.
