How beautiful the gullies are. Ever since I was a child, whenever I passed through the Valdazze area, I was fascinated by these formations that transported me to distant worlds, and yet they were here—or rather, they are here, near where I often cycle. They are geomorphological formations that form primarily on clayey rocks due to the action of rainfall, which degrades the soil.

From here you can go either along the Marecchiese road (Via Maggio) or on various paths which lead to Castelnuovo and the old road connecting Pieve Santo Stefano and Sansepolcro

It's impossible not to stop to admire the view and take a ritual photograph... unmissable!

At an altitude of approximately 900 m above sea level on the right orographic side of the descent that goes from via maggio towards sansepolcro, from spring to autumn you often come across herds of grazing cattle that feed on the spontaneous herbs that the Apennines up there offer.

Every time I pass by this road I photograph it, it is always different and above all its appearance and colour varies depending on the sky conditions and the presence of clouds.
