Schiavocampo intended to create a sculpture that transcends the eternal flow of time; he wanted to extract this eternal movement from a very specific direction: forward or backward. Once inside the curve, the flow of time becomes distorted and prevents us from understanding the direction or the destination; everything becomes abstract. The barren place allows this state, because history has had no opportunity to pass visibly, thus the observer finds himself in a state of total unreality. Along the road leading to Castel di Lucio, a sculpture connects, yet divides, two roads like a traffic island. The work consists of a monolith of reinforced concrete and iron, placed at the edge of a curve, which wraps around itself, imitating the movement of a metal sail beaten by the wind. Iron and concrete design this work, which lives thanks to the wind that silently rises from the sea. Its line vertically reproduces the curve of the road. The work, located in a countryside space that traces a sharp bend, divides the old road from the new, not isolating itself but inserting itself into the route, like a focal point. A point of mystery, therefore, that unites the past with the future and recovers what has been: the places, the quiet, the things, the traditions, projecting and directing them, after a pause, into the future. The lake (or urio in the local dialect) Quattrocchi is a small body of water perfect for a break in the greenery. Around the lake there are benches and picnic areas immersed in the greenery.

The Fiumara d'arte is an open-air museum, born along the bed of an ancient river that flowed between the Nebrodi mountains and consists of a series of sculptures, land art installations

Worth visiting is the Ceramics Museum at Palazzo Trabia.

The Montepiano Valley in Mistretta hosts a natural wonder in the heart of the Nebrodi. Here you can admire nine waterfalls, the highest of which is the Pietrebianche waterfall. They are active especially in the winter season, from autumn to early summer.

Lake Urio Quattrocchi is a small natural body of water located at 1030 meters above sea level, within the Nebrodi Park. It is surrounded by an oak forest and has an area equipped with tables, benches and toilets.
