Monte Cinto is a small elevation in the southern section of the Euganean Hills. The hill is famous for the fossil finds discovered in the Cava Bomba and for the Geo-paleontological Museum used inside a former furnace.

The climb towards Monte Lozzo, for those with a racing bike, ends here: hard and incredibly steep both from Via Pegorile and from Via Viezzo, enjoying a little break not far from the summit of the mountain is a must.

Beautiful stretch; pleasant slope (if traveled from West to East as in my case) with only a short climb at the capital of the Virgin Mary. Breathtaking landscape with a thousand facets especially linked to the season in which it is tackled. Fountain at the top in the car park. A negative note is the crowding although not extreme. Too many Sunday hikers!
