If you are looking for idyllic vineyards, good wine, tasty food and friendly people, you should come to Southern Styria! The area is very popular even with holidaymakers from our own country. Maybe because the proximity to Slovenia means that the joy of life in the south is reflected here too. If you drive along the Styrian wine route, the narrow road winds through the vineyards and you have the feeling that you might as well be in Tuscany. That is why southern Styria is also called “the Tuscany of Austria”. Between and on the vineyards you will find numerous Buschenschanken - wine farms that offer their own wine and cold delicacies from Styrian cuisine in particularly beautifully decorated gardens and restaurants. Anyone who has never tried it should definitely do so soon, because what could be nicer than sitting right on a hill on the edge of the vineyards, drinking delicious Styrian wine and being pampered with a Styrian snack?
