We stopped on the way down: two delicious first courses, a shared mixed fried dish, water, and two coffees for €30. The monastery is a jewel of art, history and architecture overlooking the Sebino peat bogs. Starting from 1083 it began to carry out important territorial functions, the complex belonged to the Cluniac monks of the Cluny Abbey for around four centuries. Don't miss the beautiful Romanesque church full of frescoes, the Oratorio dei Disciplini (today known as the Sala dei Disciplini) from the Baroque era, the small internal cloister and an intricate succession of rooms that lead to the pigeon house.
