From Renzano, the path to the Madonna is easier than from the top! The chapel is beautifully done.

Unfortunately, the path to the Madonna del Rio was very overgrown during our stay. It was also not an easy path! In places it was very steep and very slippery!

Up on the plateau near Tignale, you can take a great little hike from the village of Aer to the Piovere waterfalls, the Cascate di Piovere. It makes sense to hike to the lower waterfall first, as the path to the upper waterfall is very steep and partially exposed. It is certainly easier to walk uphill. Sturdy shoes and surefootedness are recommended. On hot days, it is advisable to take your bathing suit with you, then you can take a refreshing dip in the pools of the waterfalls.
