Cycle a little further and then continue along the route. You can stand very close to the runway and watch the planes take off. A beautiful sight!

It's amazing how rural and idyllic it is (during the week) right on the outskirts of Zurich. You can hear some of the roads, but you're in a beautiful agricultural and nature reserve.

The marked HMG Katzensee hike 2025 will take place on March 1st/2nd. Distances from GZ Zurich Affoltern 5km, 10km or with an additional 6km loop via Rümlang.

On March 1st and 2nd, 2025, the Holland Marching Group Zurich Affoltern will be carrying out the marked Katzensee hike. The start and finish is in the GZ Affoltern. Control and refreshment points in Katzenrüti. Distances 5, 10, and 16 km.
