The trabucchi of the Comacchio Valley are ancient fishing structures typical of the area, built on stilts and made of wood and nets. These traditional tools, once used for eel fishing, today offer a fascinating testimony of local culture and activities.

Between the Adriatic Sea and Lake delle Nazioni, south of the mouth of the Po, extends a narrow dune several kilometers long which acts as a natural dam.

The fallow deer is an artiodactyl mammal of the Cervidae family. Originally distributed in Europe and Asia, it became extinct in the old continent with the last glacial period.
