We had a great time on the terrace of the nest, the owner is welcoming and smiling. I recommend it after a hike around the castle.

A pleasant place to enjoy delicious homemade drinks. Beautiful view and warm welcome. Microclimate, banana trees grow here 😉

Wonderful fountain with drinking water

If the grass is tall and you crouch down at this point, you'll see that only the church steeple (left in the photo) is visible above the grass in the small town of Rue, and the castle is threatening to sink into the grass. A heavenly illusion and a great photo opportunity.

After a nice and not too steep "climb" along the path covered with wood shavings, follow the signs and arrive at a magical place overgrown with moss. In the passage between two rocks you will discover the sculpture of a fairy.

Along the route there are about a dozen information boards in the form of small houses with information about edible plants. In one of the little houses there are legends that children came up with as part of a competition.

The stairs in the center link the castle to the town of Rue. The passage is quite charming!

The Sage trail pays homage to René Conus (1902-1979), a graphic designer nicknamed Le Sage. He was also a philosopher who settled in Rue after a long journey through Europe.
