Rotenturm Castle, located in Rotenturm an der Pinka in Austria's Burgenland, is one of the most important historicist country castles. Built in the 1860s as the seat of the Erdödy family, it is privately owned and is available for events such as weddings, private parties, corporate events, or as a photo or film location.

Beautiful, well-kept church.

The pilgrimage church in Lockenhaus is an impressive building in the Baroque style, the foundation stone of which was laid in 1656. It is particularly famous for the largest church organ in Burgenland, which has been playing since 2003 and attracts numerous visitors. Inside the church, you will be amazed by the magnificent altar of the Virgin Mary and the miraculous image of "The Mother of Good Counsel". The mystical "Black Madonna" is located in the crypt.

Rotenturm Castle is a beautiful eye-catcher in the middle of the agricultural landscape. The current owner has extensively restored the building and made it accessible to the public at certain times.

The oldest building on Őrisziget is the Roman Catholic church, which is dedicated to Saint László. The oldest part is the side chapel, which probably dates back to earlier times than the building first mentioned in 1386, while the nave dates from the 16th century. Beautiful!

The storm left a mark on the pavement of the Bahntrassen-radweg, so I had to avoid it... It was worth it! I also admired the church and the wooden locomotive. In fact, both together.

The result of careful hands is that every season we can find a colorful flowering plant in some part of the square in front of the church. I'll still bring nice pictures!
