Impressive trail along the lake

Idyllic lake with a great mountain panorama and the trail leads directly along the shore.

The Sonlomont pass connects the Hongrin and Joux valleys. From the pass, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Lake Hongrin and the Rochers de Naye.

This covered wooden bridge, built in 1667, spans the Sarine gorges and offers a breathtaking view of the natural landscape. The bridge was part of an ancient mule route which facilitated the cheese trade in the 17th century. Today, you can access it by running and enjoy the charm of the authentic villages of Lessoc and Montbovon. The bridge is also a highlight of the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Natural Park, where you can discover other cultural and natural riches.

Lake Lessoc is an artificial lake created by the Lessoc dam, where you can admire the reflections of the mountains and the Sarine. Along the way, you can also discover historic bridges and learn about the local flora and fauna.

If you want to enjoy the panoramic views of the Grand Chalet de Rossinière, the largest wooden house in Switzerland, it is best to time your run in the morning or evening, when the light is softer and the crowds fewer. You will be blown away by the nature and history of this magnificent place, where the famous painter Balthus lived and worked.

The magnificent Lac du Vernex is a reservoir located at an altitude of 859 m between the Pointe de Cray and Planachaux massifs. You'll enjoy views of the lake and surrounding mountains, as well as wildflowers and forests along the way. The trail has a moderate elevation gain of 314 feet and is suitable for all skill levels. You can hike this trail from May to October and bring your dog with you. The Vernex Lake Loop is a great way to explore the nature and culture of this area while getting exercise and having fun.

The Monts Chevreuils are a panoramic destination for hiking, in the heart of the Pays-d'Enhaut and the Vaudois Prealps. The summit of Monts Chevreuils (1749 m) offers a magnificent view of the Hongrin valley and the town of Château-d'Oex. You can access the summit from La Lécherette or from the small village of Les Moulins, and enjoy the trails in the forest or in the large flowery pastures.
