The Harzwasserwerke GmbH reservoir is located at an elevation of approximately 170 meters. The most important details can be found on the large information panel: This facility has been in operation since 1934. Drinking water from the Harz Mountains is piped 199 km from here, via several branches, all the way to Bremen.

Unfortunately, the information boards have disappeared, but the bench at this spot still offers good entertainment: many cyclists pass by here and every now and then a horse.

Manor house from 1750. Location: Am Wallteich 23 in Benthe. The manor house, a former estate that shaped the townscape, was probably used as an official residence, a noble residence, and guest house for the Hanoverian court of the Welfs after its construction.
