Imposing rock blocks that the Mèbre river has shaped by eroding in the layers of molasses, a friable rock made of consolidated sands. In a distant time, this rock was used to build some important buildings, including Lausanne Cathedral. Over time, « Le Pierre à Quatre sous », so named because of its low value, was replaced by other building materials.

The Refuge du Talent is located on the banks of the Talent. At the hut you will find a fountain, benches and tables and barbecue areas. The hut can be rented from the municipality of Assens.

The Palais de Rumine is a public building in the Swiss city of Lausanne. It is located in the Center district on Place de la Riponne, on the western edge of the old town. The building was built between 1898 and 1906 according to plans by Gaspard André in Florentine Renaissance style and is included in the Inventory of Cultural Property of National Importance. It served as the main building of the University of Lausanne, today it houses five museums and part of the Cantonal and University Library of Lausanne. The Palais is named after Gabriel de Rumine. Gabriel de Rumine, a Lausanne-born civil engineer of Russian origin, died in 1871 at the age of 30, leaving the city a legacy of 1.5 million francs. He made the condition that the fortune be doubled through investments and used for the construction of a public building 15 years after his death. There were plans to expand the Lausanne Academy, founded in 1537, into a full-fledged university, so Rumine's legacy came at the right time. The commission set up by the city in 1886 decided to erect a building to house the university, the cantonal library and various museums. Steep downhil segment between the cantonal road (just by the parking place) and one of the many trails in the forest. I first did it uphill, it was difficult even with the assistance but you can do it.
