This is exactly where our e-bike was stolen. We spent 30 minutes eating on the jetty. For a moment, we lost sight of our bike. That was the end of Copenhagen.

The bridge is intended to resemble sailing ships with their masts. Designer Elíasson described his inspiration as follows: "While working on the bridge, I remembered the fishing boats I had seen as a child in Iceland. In the harbor, the boats were often moored right next to each other, and sometimes it seemed as if you could even cross the harbor by walking from boat to boat. ... Up to 5,000 people will cross this bridge every day. I hope that these people will use Cirkelbroen as a meeting point and that the bridge's zigzag design will encourage them to slow down and take a break."
