The Diana Portal in Valsanzibio is the monumental entrance to the Garden of Villa Barbarigo, a symbol of spirituality and power, designed in the 17th century by Luigi Bernini. Located in the heart of the Historic Garden of Villa Barbarigo in Valsanzibio (Padua), the Diana Portal—also known as Diana's Pavilion—was the main waterway access to the noble estate during the 17th and 18th centuries. The climb isn't excessively steep, maintaining a constant gradient. The only real downside is the asphalt, which is really buckled and uneven in some places, so you have to be especially careful when descending.

Palladio's work, where one can note the perfect balance and harmony between the architecture and the surrounding landscape. In 1500, the site where the building stands belonged to the Valier family, while the management of the land had been entrusted by the owners to the procurators of San Marco. The procurators subsequently sold the plots of land to Federico Foscari, who died in 1527, leaving his assets to his sons Alvise, Giacomo, and Ferigo. The villa was commissioned by Nicolò and Alvise Foscari in 1555, as Giorgio Vasari also recalls in "The Lives of the Most Excellent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects," Florence 1568. Nicolò died before seeing it completed. An inscription in his memory was placed on the façade, under the tympanum: "Nicolaus et aloysius Foscari fratres Federici Filii." The river ring of Padua is a spectacle immersed in nature that winds along the Piovego, Brenta, Brentella and Bacchiglione... counterclockwise of course. With its approximately 50km, it is almost all traveled on embankments and cycle paths, in the summer some places are equipped with tables and benches to enjoy the sound of nature. Suitable for everyone even for those who pedal every now and then, the time for a tourist pedal is less than 3 hours (more precisely from 2.20 to 2.45) but some stops are worth making ...

Villa Malcontenta is a splendid Venetian villa, well preserved and managed, with frescoed interiors and a visitable garden. The complete visit takes about 30-40 minutes, and at the entrance there is a guide with the history of the villa. It is recommended to park before the residents-only entrance.
