Unfortunately, there is no place to take a break up here. There are the two observation towers/platforms and a military installation and nothing else!

On the way up, the altitude is shown on small signs on the side of the road. Unfortunately, when you get to the top, it's dead! No café, no mountain hut or anything else! A bit sad.

In December 2011, a locomotive and a car were installed on a remaining piece of track at the former Birkenfeld train station. It is intended to be reminiscent of the former “Birkenfeld Railway”.
