Casa Veronica, hamlet of Pellegrino Parmense

It appears as pagus in Traiana's Tabula Alimentaria (bronze inscription found in Veleia, 2nd century AD). Right on the hill overlooking the church, some see in the geometry of the landscape the presence of an ancient castle, which was destroyed after the rebellion of the Pallavicino di Pellegrino family against Bernabò Visconti (1373). The church, dedicated to St. Peter, already mentioned in documents from 1400, was built to replace a previous one, dedicated to St. Martin (recorded for the first time in documents from 1230) which must have been located adjacent to the fortress, but which unfortunately every trace has been lost. Inside are numerous works by Walter Benecchi, a contemporary painter born in Mariano and Bolognese by adoption.

The former church of San Giuseppe, Claudio Costerbosa auditorium since 2011, is a deconsecrated Catholic place of worship with Baroque forms, located in via Roma 34 in Pellegrino Parmense, in the province of Parma and diocese of Fidenza. The place of worship was built in 1642 by the friars of the nearby convent of San Francesco, as a chapel dependent on the sanctuary of Careno. In 1836 the church became the seat of an autonomous parish. The building, now inadequate, was deconsecrated in 1927, at the end of the construction works of the new church of San Giuseppe, and for about 30 years it was used as a granary serving the agricultural consortium.

The church of San Giuseppe is a Catholic place of worship with neo-Romanesque forms, located in Piazza Lorenzo Berzieri in Pellegrino Parmense, in the province of Parma and diocese of Fidenza; it is part of the vicariate of Salsomaggiore Terme. The church was built starting in 1914 to replace the small seventeenth-century place of worship, the parish seat since 1836; designed in neo-Romanesque style by the architect Tancredi Venturini, it was completed in 1927.

Fraction located at 581 meters above sea level in the middle Ceno valley, about halfway between the two capitals Varano de Melegari and Varsi. In 1967, in a cultivated field just above the town of Maneia, Prof. Marisa Castelli reported the discovery of a Celtic cremation tomb, datable between the 3rd and 2nd century BC. In the kit there were impasto ceramics, a bronze fibula and a dark blue glass armilla. The topographic position of the discovery, on the slope of Monte della Guardia (805 m asl), would suggest the existence of a possible settlement perched on the same mountain, chosen for its evident qualities of territorial control which, still today, are remembered from the same toponym. Mancia is a place of enormous historical importance, like many other places in our valleys, however it is in a pitiful state of abandonment, few know of their history, the traces can only be found in some texts, which are now unobtainable.
