Reachable via an easy road or on foot through the wonderful path known as the 7 maceri. The house cannot be visited but deserves some photos on sunny days. A disturbing mystery obscures the past of Ariosto and his summer villa in Cento. Tradition says that during the night the cry of a little girl is heard and what, according to some, is the breath of the Devil himself. It is a large villa complete with an adjoining deconsecrated church, all hidden by dense vegetation. A few years ago the villa was the center of media interest, people flocked from all over Italy to hear the ghost's howling; it was later discovered that the dark howls or strange noises belonged to a giant owl that got stuck in the gutters.
