Very easy route suitable for everyone

A starting point for wonderful one- or multi-day hikes, perfect year-round for families with children. In spring, summer, and perhaps especially in autumn, you can enjoy exciting trails through the woods. In winter, you can enjoy beautiful snowshoe hikes, starting from the lower refuge up to the higher one, where there are ski slopes.

Transformed into a cycle path ("Via della Pietra"), it is a beautiful route among the greenery, on new and smooth asphalt, and without cars underfoot. Just be careful at the numerous road crossings.

Excellent for a stop, you can continue with different solutions.

Classic climb in the Saluzzo area or Venasca side. Nice climb, convenient for evening rides

Here you can pedal in complete tranquility and safety on the stretch of the old railway line that once connected Bricherasio to Barge. This was part of the larger Pinerolo-Torre Pellice line, active for the transport of goods and then also used for passengers. Today the railway is disused, but some sections have been recovered, giving rise to a beautiful cycle/pedestrian path.

The refuge can be reached on foot via a convenient dirt road, by bike or by off-road vehicle. It is possible to stay by picking up the keys at the Cai di Barge on Friday evenings
