The path has been closed due to the risk of collapse, but you can go around it from the left on an alternative route.

Church of Santa Maria di Settefonti: The first list of the county which counts 84 "fumanti", or families, dates back to 1249, but the Castle of "Stifunti" (which owes its name to the presence of 7 springs), which later became the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, is earlier than 1105, as demonstrated by the pre-existing structure still visible.

5월 9, 2024, Pieve di Pastino Ruins
On the hills of Ozzano Emilia, towards Settefonti, a few kilometers from the ancient Roman city of Claterna, there is the ancient Pieve di Pastino (church with a baptismal font), whose history is lost in the mists of time. According to some historians, the parish church actually stood on the remains of an ancient Roman pagan temple which was later converted into a church. What is certain is that the first documents that speak of this parish church date back to 1027. The sixteenth-century church, built on the medieval crypt which is now completely underground (and thus protected), has a serious structural crack along the façade and only the props of the Superintendent prevent collapse. https://www.legambiente.emiliaromagna.it/2012/03/12/pieve-di-pastino/

5월 5, 2024, Chiesa di Sant'Andrea
The church stands in via Sant'Andrea, near the Flaminia Minor, between the Centonara torrent and the small valley of the Ciagnano river, where it is possible to see the ridge of the Badessa pass, culminating in the relief of Monte Arlingo. The church belongs to an agricultural context, far from the town and is located on an island of tall trees on a vast landscape of cultivated fields at the foot of the hills. The hall is part of an architectural complex of buildings linked to religious activity, which develops in the rear part with a C-shaped trend towards the north-west. In addition to the rectory and the sacristy, to the north there is a two-storey building used as a residence, now in a state of abandonment, and two warehouses which are now unusable. The unmistakable profile of the old bell tower emerges from the dense bush on the top of the Settefonti hill. It is part of the remarkable ruins, restored by the Park, of the seventeenth-century parish of S. Maria, located in the center of a fortified medieval village, of which traces of the walls remain. (Source: https://enteparchi.bo.it/parco-dei-gessi-bolognesi-e-calanchi-dellabbadessa/punti-di- interesse/oratori-chiese-pievi/ ) The church and the high bell tower were seriously damaged by the results of the Second World War. Now only a few imposing ruins remain of them. The complex was built in 1691 on the remains of a pre-existing religious building. The landscape is extremely suggestive and the descent is relatively easy, even if in the rain it can create dangerous furrows

Epic and almost lunar landscapes. A few hundred meters from the "civilization". It can be reached from the educational farm “la Dulcamara” with a fast descent with several furrows and roots. At the end of the part immersed in the vegetation you reach the gully. Stop and enjoy the landscape. Going down the part of the gully you reach the lowest point of the path that crosses a stream. Keep left and walk along the lower part of the gully. A final climb will take you on the road to San Andrea

From the ruins of the church there is a path that is not suitable for MTB unless you want to do cycle mountaineering and carry your bike on your back. My friend and I stopped at the second steep slope in the middle of the trees. With the ebike, going back was really tiring as the steep slope was made of pebbles and practically vertical. See photos.
