Today most of the buildings have been converted into private homes while the church is the seat of the parish of Saints Peter and Paul of the diocese of Acqui.

Cascina Miera is a hiking refuge located within the Adelasia Regional Nature Reserve. It can only be reached on foot or by MTB via a dirt path of about one kilometer. From Cascina Miera there are several MTB trails on the CINGHIALTRAKS trails.

The beautifully situated and very hospitably run Rifugio is perfect as a stage destination on the Alta Via. In the immediate vicinity there are wonderfully designed natural trails in the Parco dell'Adelasia. The road connects the cycle path that from Carcare leads to Vispa in Loc. Le Acqua. This road allows you to avoid the asphalt road. The descent to Le Acqua is a bit bumpy. Be careful!

Warm, welcoming, lots of outdoor space for adults and children. Excellent polenta with sausage, cutting board and desserts made by the pastry chef. Absolutely worth a visit.

A nice and quite place for a break or to sleep overnight. It is possible to sleep into tents just in front of the hut very closed to the trekking paths start.
