In the heart of the Monte Sole regional park, this iron cross is very old. It stands in a suggestive position, but the erosion caused by wind and rain makes it difficult to read the dedication. It is one of the many suggestive points inside the Monte Sole park.

The Church of the Beata Vergine di Croce Martina, better known as "Madonna di Rodiano", is located at 750 meters above sea level in the hamlet of Madonna di Rodiano, surrounded by large chestnut groves and cultivated fields. Belonging to the parish of Rodiano, in the municipality of Savigno, about 40 km away from the city of Bologna. The hall is oriented to the west and is not parallel to the road, forming an acute angle with it, which leaves a modest churchyard of triangular geometry.
