Pamparato has been inhabited since ancient times; in fact, some Roman tombstones have been found nearby and the bridge, now known as S. Lucia, of Roman origin has been preserved. It is made of stone, with two arches of different sizes. The country is mentioned for the first time in a 911 act in which its borders are specified.
