10월 3, 2024, Monte Grande Singletrack
wonderful single track that passes on the north side of Monte Grande. Almost always clean, not very easy to do, but nothing vertical. Any difficulties are possibly due to some narrow passages in the mule track. In general it is a fantastic trail for MTB

8월 30, 2024, View of Villatalla and the Valleys
Villatalla: perhaps of origin prior to the Roman occupation. The toponyms with the Semitic-Aryan root "tala", "tel", "tula" which means "mountain, support" date back to the first inhabitants of the area. The toponym for some is of Provençal origin "small bicocca" or fortress, castle, located on the top of the mountain. - for observation, defense, fortress, etc., for others it means "flowered villa" from taleia which in Greek means flowered, but for most, and very probably with some foundation, Villa della Vallata from a total German etymology ... Wilhelm-thal, from the Lombard thal. Its parish church, already separated from the matrix of S. Giacomo di Prela in 1341, is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, a saint beloved by the Lombards, to whom they attributed their victory of Siponto in 663 over the Saracens. Note: until the 17th century, the Piedmontese used to call the Western Ligurians "i ficoni" meaning eaters, planters, fig traders. In Villatalla, an area behind the parish church is still called "vizzai" because in those lands the "vizze" (woven reeds) were placed with figs on top to dry in the sun. Cycling-wise, however, the view is worth all the effort to get to the village.

8월 14, 2024, Passo della Mezzaluna
An ancient meeting point for the people of the Rezzo, Impero, and Argentina valleys. From the pass, you can enjoy an incredible view; I recommend using an app to identify the peaks to orient yourself (e.g., PeakFinder, free). This wide, grassy saddle between Mount Arborea and Cima della Donzella is almost certainly the one mentioned several times by Italo Calvino in his novel "The Path to the Spiders' Nest."

8월 10, 2024, Molini di Prelà
it is the arrival point of some mule tracks suitable for MTBs downhill from the upper villages and also that pass over the Romanesque bridge. It is worth a stop at Charlie, for a focaccia and a spuma.

Worthy of note here is the ancient Maro Castle, of which only four stones remain. In ancient times, along with the less ruined Prelà Castello, it guarded the Via del Sale. It is of enormous historical importance. The village is truly beautiful, and I recommend a bike tour. Also noteworthy are the Doria Palace and the beautiful church square.

12월 31, 2023, Ponte Romano di Molini di Prelà
A Romanesque bridge, one of the oldest in the valley, with two spans. Accessible by mountain bike. The name, however, is incorrect; Rocchetta Nervina is not the right place.

7월 31, 2023, Passo della Mezzaluna
Summit point of the Bosco di Rezzo, famous meeting point for the people of the Argentina, Impero, Rezzo and Monesi valleys, for the annual livestock market. Since prehistoric times. Marked by some megalithic works in the area. It was a point of exchange of livestock and goods. Viaticum for the sea via the roads that reach Passo Teglie or towards the mountain via Passo Pianlatte and then Garezzo and the Monesi valleys

an infinite forest like few others in this corner of Liguria. Never wild and passable with some forest roads that branch off from Passo della Mezzaluna towards Rezzo. Lots of forest and trails, almost all of which can be covered with gravel. Guaranteed shade, ideal in summer.

7월 31, 2023, Ponte Napoleonico
one of the most beautiful bridges, of a series of four. What remains is only the central arch, which is perfectly circular and cannot be climbed over easily. A centennial challenge to gravity, with which a very thin layer of stones support each other against the final ruin. Beautiful. Recommended a bathroom below

The Passo della Mezzaluna, belonging to the Ligurian Alps, is a scenically crazy environment and connects Rezzo with Molini di Triora.
