Romanesque bridge, not Roman. It makes a big difference, being medieval. There is little or nothing Roman left in the valley.

this ancient Romanesque (medieval) bridge leads into the old part of the town. It is worth a visit or a detour from the road, even by bike. You come out further ahead

Worthy of note here is the ancient Maro Castle, of which only four stones remain. In ancient times, along with the less ruined Prelà Castello, it guarded the Via del Sale. It is of enormous historical importance. The village is truly beautiful, and I recommend a bike tour. Also noteworthy are the Doria Palace and the beautiful church square.
