The town is perched on a rocky spur between the Chiarino stream and the "della Valle" stream. There are several sites of interest, such as the marquis' palace, the church of Santa Sinforosa or the characteristic village of Azzinano known for its murals.

The weather can change quickly up here. When I was here in early May, it suddenly rained and the temperature dropped to 2°C.
