The town of Pian de’ Valli, is located in the municipality of Rieti, stands at the foot of Terminillo, at an altitude of 1620 meters, hosts many accommodation and commercial activities, and the departure station of the ski lifts is located a few steps from the center. The famous Terminillo cable car is still in operation today both in the winter and summer seasons and is the historical symbol of Pian de’ Valli.

View of Piazza VII Aprile with the Renaissance fountain located in the center of Piazza VII Aprile. It was commissioned by Ottavio Farnese, together with Margherita d'Austria in 1552, built by maestro Nicola De Joanni. It has an octagonal plan with a basin divided into four sides, embellished with coats of arms and ribbon elements. The central octagonal balustrade is decorated with coats of arms and dolphins, as well as masks.

Monte Tilia is, together with Monte Corno, the northernmost peak of the Monti Reatini. They are both little-frequented mountains that retain their natural and wild charm, offering views of the Vallonina and a large part of the Apennines.

Leonessa is a village on the slopes of Mount Terminillo, surrounded by splendid nature. The village is characterized by architecture from the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Famous for its potatoes, the town organizes a summer festival not to be missed!
