1.5 km west of Schönbrunn, in an idyllic clearing in the "Kapellenschlag" forest, stands a small wayside chapel dedicated to St. Anne. The exact date of its construction is unknown. It is said that a farmer from Oberneuses built the chapel out of gratitude because his cattle were spared from the rinderpest. Its existence was first documented in 1736, when the church foundation's accounts recorded 2 guilders and 46 kreuzers from the offering box as income. There is evidence that pilgrims have been gathering at this site on July 26, St. Anne's Day, since 1840. A beautiful but also dangerous trail, you have to be very careful as the trail has narrow and deep sections.
