The trail isn't well marked, and it's unclear when you're actually in front of the "Pink Grotto." Sometimes you think you've arrived, but a closer look always reveals some poorly maintained passages. In any case, it's very beautiful and evocative.

Very beautiful reservoir, located directly on the Sentiero Italia

Simple route until you reach the stretch where the stream begins. Here you need to be able to move from one bank to the other, therefore I recommend waterproof shoes or at least a second pair, the risk that your feet end up in the water is high due to the slippery stones.

Access to the Pink Grotto is facilitated by the presence of ropes which give extra safety on the rocks which can be slippery.

Along the path it is possible to see various larch pines of approx. 100 years.

Buturo is an ancient historical village of Sila Piccola, in the province of Catanzaro. The name of the village derives from the dialectal term "Vuturu", which referred to the vulture, an animal that once populated the Sila.

Lake Passante is an artificial lake, created between 1971 and 1976 and there are various animals, including trout, carp and perch. There is a 65m high dam here which is part of the hydroelectric plant.

The Leone Grandinetti refuge is an alpine refuge, at 1611 m, located within the Sila National Park. It was built in 2007 by renovating existing buildings and consists of two buildings: one used as a dormitory with 16 beds, and the other as a living room and restaurant with kitchen and accommodation for the manager.
