Municipality of around 8,000 inhabitants, Castelbuono is located between Isnello and San Mauro Castelverde, in the Madonie park. It boasts numerous churches and at least two places of absolute interest: the Ventimiglia castle and the fountain of Venus Ciprea. Furthermore, during the first or second week of August, the Ypsigrock festival takes place, born in 1997 and which has become an important music festival.

Municipality in the province of Palermo and within the Madonie park, Isnello presents an area dotted with karst phenomena that create various caves and cavities. The origin of the name Isnello is uncertain: it could derive from the Syriac term hassin ("cold river"), from the Punic hassinor ("stream that flows in a tube-shaped bed") or from the Greek asines ("the harmlessness of the stream "). Several relatively important waterways, in fact, cross the Isnello territory. Furthermore, since 2016 there has been a Center for research, teaching and dissemination of astronomical sciences here, which was given the name GAL Hassin, a play on words between galaxy and the ancient name of the territory. In Isnello you can enjoy a really dark sky at night!

One of the capitals of the Madonie park, Collesano is home to the museum dedicated to the Targa Florio car competition, suppressed in the seventies, of which it was one of the main passages. Of particular interest are also St. Peter's Basilica, the archaeological and environmental site of Monte d'Oro and the medieval castle. Mountain biking is very popular here, thanks to the local team "ASD Madonie Bike".

Orange flag of the Italian Touring Club, Petralia Sottana is one of the most beautiful municipalities in internal Sicily and part of the Madonie park. It rises at an altitude of approximately 1,000 meters above sea level and the municipal capital dominates the valley of the southern Imera river below. Of particular interest is the cathedral, dedicated to Maria Santissima Assunta. In several points of the center you have splendid views of the surrounding valleys.

Municipality of around 2,000 inhabitants, Geraci is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and is located in the Madonie park. Jiraci in Sicilian, is known for its castle (the so-called manor of the Ventimiglia family, a noble family in the 10th century) and for the Ventimiglia leap, a panoramic glass terrace built above the ravine towards which, according to tradition, Count Francesco The Ventimiglias threw themselves to escape their enemies.

Fantastic descent from Isnello to Castelbuono. Great view of the mountains. Make sure you pay attention to the road surface. Just before Castelbuono, the road is two meters downhill, but it is possible to overcome it with a racing bike.
