The Nerech waterfall is one of the most powerful in the Pyrenees. It flows into the heart of Couserans (vast territory combining high mountains, mountains and foothills, and covered areas). Couserans is a Gascon country of mountains, hills, meadows, lakes, waterfalls and forests which is entirely part of the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Regional Natural Park. The waterfall consists of a first 100-meter drop that forms a pool at its foot, and continues with multiple cascades that come together to form a final drop. Overall, it is therefore divided into three levels, for a drop of 246 meters. It is undeniably one of the most picturesque and imposing in the Pyrenees.
