Very nice place to spend the night. The dorms are modern (renewed) and spacious. For a fee (1 euro) you can take a hot shower for 3 minutes. You can eat with other guests in the dining room, or prepare your own meal in the guest kitchen. You can camp on the wooden deck outside if there is room. In the high season you have to book such a place well in advance. Tip: take an evening walk in the vicinity of the hut. We saw a herd of 15 ibex nearby.

Le Refuge du Saut is the door from Méribel Valley to Vanoise National Park. It take ~2h walk to get there from the Ski resort's car park. Not to steep (~600m+). Signal service is not available there. They only accept cash. It is possible to sleep there in individual rooms. Camp nearby. It's a great initiation walk. Kids friendly (15k way and back though). They have beers and nice lunch. They don't take credit cards and the location is great. During winter there is a winter shack where you can find wood to burn a heater, cuttlery, water and bank beds.

There are benches with tables, a toilet and a water source which is not undrinkable but has the inscription that the water is not monitored.

Very nicely located self-catering hut with cooking facilities and oven. Easy to visit in 2016. A lot has changed about the Corona period. It is difficult to say what the current opening will look like. When it is open it is definitely worth a visit.

In 2016 a small, rustic refuge. Showers and toilets are still very simple. Very nice and polite hospitality. You are not allowed to camp at every refuge in the Vanoise - it was allowed here.
