The Hanstholm bunkers are part of Batteri Hanstholm, one of the largest WWII coastal fortifications in Northern Europe, built by Nazi Germany to guard the Skagerrak strait. The battery housed massive 38 cm guns capable of firing up to 55 km (34 mi) across the sea to Norway.
