The Alpine Garden on the Hochstaufen is located above the Padinger Alm on the way to the summit and was created by the Bad Reichenhall Alpine Club. In this lovingly tended area, hikers can discover a variety of typical alpine plants – from delicate gentian species to alpine roses and rare mountain flowers. Information panels explain the special features of the flora and their adaptation to the harsh living conditions at high altitudes. The Alpine Garden combines nature experiences with educational opportunities and invites hikers to consciously appreciate the diversity of the mountain world before the trail leads further up into the rocky terrain of the Hochstaufen.

Höglwörther Monastery on Höglwörther Lake is a very beautiful place. The circular path around the lake is also always beautiful.

A traditional Bavarian inn, located in the Rupertiwinkel region next to the former Höglwörth Monastery for 150 years, overlooking the picturesque Höglwörth Lake. Committed to tradition, modernity, and above all, quality, the "Klosterwirt" offers hearty, regional dishes with an international influence, including vegetarian and vegan options. It has its own fish farm, an in-house butcher shop, and its own patisserie. A Bavarian inn is, of course, nothing without a great beer: just five kilometers away is the 350-year-old Wieninger private brewery, whose brews are served here. There's also a beer garden with venerable chestnut trees and a view of the shimmering Höglwörth Lake and the monastery. For those who want to stay overnight, the inn offers two double rooms.
