Beautiful castle in a small village.

A well-preserved medieval fortress close to the city center. There are stork nests and in their season they can be observed.

From the Nuevo Portil Viewpoint located in front of the area of Hotels that exist in the town, an impressive panoramic view of the Arrow of El Rompido, Piedras River and the beaches of El Portil, La Bota, Nuevo Portil, San Miguel and El broken.

We are in the middle of the mouth of the Odiel river, between the three islands of the Marismas del Odiel Natural Area, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and a Special Protection Area for Birds and is considered one of the most important tidal marshes in the Iberian Peninsula. Enmedio Island stands out for the excellent degree of conservation of its ecosystem. On Isla Saltes you can frequently see the chameleon.

It is a natural area (wetland) located at the mouth of the Odiel river or Huelva estuary. It constitutes one of the largest extensions of marshes in Spain. There are several trails and bike routes that allow you to observe nature (for example, the flamingo, the spoonbill, the heron and the osprey).

12th century tower declared an Asset of Cultural Interest and protected as historical heritage. Built to face the Barbary pirates.

Built in the 15th century by Don Pedro Zúñiga, it was conceived to defend and monitor the land in the area that was regularly lashed by pirates. In the 16th century it was reinforced by adding defense elements and towards the end of the 17th century it was a refuge for citizens from Portuguese attacks. Its history as a fortress came to an end in 1812 and at some point it was planned to be demolished. Luckily today it is in perfect condition and has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1985.
