On the village connecting road between the towns of Baindlkirch and Ebersried you roll from Aichach-Friedberg into the district of Dachau.

The current church building still has Romanesque and late Gothic wall sections; however, most of it dates from around 1718/20, when Imperial Abbot Willibald Popp (1694-1735) largely renovated the church. The magnificent 18th-century interior is primarily the work of art-loving pastors, who also invested their own funds in its beautification. Also worth seeing is the old rectory, which is likely the oldest building for miles around. It was originally a small Renaissance palace, purchased by the then pastor in 1612.
