The Pi Gros ("the big pine" in Spanish) can boast of being the tree with the largest diameter in the entire peninsula. This monumental specimen of black pine has a diameter of 1.7 meters, a height of 33 meters and is over 700 years old. Located in the Els Ports natural park, its size, age and beauty are impressive.

The Faig Pare ("the father beech" in Spanish) is a monumental tree of about 250 years. It is located within the Els Ports Natural Park and due to its enormous size, age and impressive root system, it is one of the great attractions of this area.

La Font del Teix ("yew fountain" in Spanish) is literally that: a fountain built using the trunks of the famous yew trees in this area. It is an ideal place to stop, fill your water bottle and admire this ingenious use of natural resources.

Fredes is the northernmost town in the Valencian Community. It belongs to the municipality of La Pobla de Benifassà, in the province of Castellón, Baix Maestrat county. It is located at an altitude of 1090 meters, in the middle of the Tinença de Benifassà natural park. The village has a fountain and a bar restaurant, although it has limited hours and it is convenient to check if it is open. It also has a couple of tourist apartments, located in the same building as the restaurant bar.
