Good cycle path, but I prefer to take small detours from/to Schwabach via Obermainbach & Haag or Unter- & Oberreichenbach. It's a nicer ride and there are far fewer traffic lights.

What is now a cycle path used to be the road between Kapsdorf and Leipersloh/Hergersbach. The lane markings are still clearly visible, even though the countryside is already reclaiming the road here and there.

Beautiful stretch along the Mainbach, which flows into the eponymous Rednitz in Rednitzhembach, and a great bypass to avoid having to go through the Schwabach industrial areas.

The gatehouse in Altenmuhr is the landmark of the municipality of Muhr am See in the Middle Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen. It was part of Altenmuhr's fortifications with a moat and rampart. The building with the postal address Rosenau 6 is registered as an architectural monument in the Bavarian monument list under the monument number D-5-77-114-22.[1] The gatehouse stands at the transition from Rosenau to Kirchenstrasse on the northeastern edge of the old town of Altenmuhr on the road towards Neuenmuhr at an altitude of 417 m above sea level.[2] The previous building of the gatehouse was built in 1551. The current building was built in 1752.[1] The gatehouse was inhabited by the town's night watchman and oxherder. The building remained inhabited until the 1960s.
