Water, scarce in this area, flows abundantly in Fortuna, giving rise to several springs such as La Higuera, La Cueva Negra, and Los Baños. These thermal springs were already popular in Roman times and have made Fortuna an important spa town today. It's both remarkable and unfortunate that the original springs are not being maintained and renovated; they look like old rubbish, accessible via a cut fence and a pile of stones.

From below it looks like a white chapel, but it is just a white cross in a beautiful location.

Despite its modest size, the "cortao" (a rock formation) offers a wide range of attractions. On the one hand, it is an ideal spot for sports such as climbing, abseiling, and hiking; on the other, it offers botanical and ornithological wonders. It is also of great historical importance, as remains dating back some 15,000 years have been discovered at the top of one of its slopes.

The old road (route 66) runs via this old bridge over the Rambla Parra.

There are no hot springs at this location! There are, however, some in Fortuna, a little further away, and near the pool at Camping Fuente.
