Circo de Gredos, a cirque formed by a glacier, covers approximately 33 hectares. The barren, rocky, high-mountain landscape of this cirque is spectacular and one of the absolute highlights of the Central System. To the north, at the foot of the Almanzor, lies the Laguna Grande lake.

Beautiful water dams in this area of the Río Barbellido, where you have to be alert when crossing the bridge but the views of the river itself are worth it.

This lagoon is curious with respect to the rest since normally, glacial cirques tend to take a direction perpendicular to the ridge of the mountain, that is to say they descend in a north or south direction. This one, however, does it in an east direction, with the Covacha del Losar as the highest part!
