Paradise for hiking and mountain biking

The ferry is not operating, apparently due to excessive sediment in the river. You can take a water taxi instead to cross from Caminha to A Guarda.

For 6€ per person in 4 minutes from Portugal to Spain.

The normal ferry seems to be out of service for the time being, but there is a private skipper who makes the crossing in a small rubber dinghy. Just wait further to the left at the harbor. It seems that the government doesn't want to get everything up and running again any time soon.

The southernmost tip of Galicia and border with Portugal where the Miño River flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful walk along a wooden path surrounded by sea pines.

If you're into mountain biking, go for it. But with our bikes, we turned back halfway through the course, in front of very stony paths, difficult to manage, moreover, steeply uphill and downhill. That said, great scenery.

A wonderful, comfortable and shady bike path connects Monção and Caminha along the Minho River to its mouth. On the other hand, it is possible to admire the Galician coast. There are numerous opportunities for pleasant stops in the shade of the trees. When approaching the ocean, you breathe the sea breeze.
