The ramp to the tower is a bit bumpy. If you drive in the middle, you'll be on smooth, continuous slabs. But definitely drive up. The view is magnificent. There may be public toilets open at the foot of the lighthouse.

The Ponte do Pedrido rises over the Betanzos estuary and is 520 meters long. From the top you can see the immense sandy area below and the estuary of the estuary. It is the easiest way to cross the estuary without having to take the highway. It is preferable to cross it on weekdays since it is busier on weekends.

The Tower of Hercules, called the Brigantia Lighthouse until the 20th century (by the old name of La Coruña, Brigantium), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although its origins are unknown, it is thought to have been rebuilt by the Romans in the 1st century. It is the only working Roman lighthouse in the world built as a navigation beacon to guide ships skirting the western edge of the Empire. Today it stands 55 meters tall while the original Roman building was 34.3 meters tall. The remaining 21 meters were added during restoration works in the 18th century.
