A 2.5 km long hiking trail between the steelworks and the Maustmühle mill leads directly through the pond area. To the east are the Hälterteich and the Neuendorfer Oberteich. Both ponds are among the largest bodies of water on the Peitz pond estate. On the other side flows the Hammergraben, an artificial tributary of the Spree. Behind them lie smaller ponds. Along the trail, information panels provide interesting information on the history of the Peitz ponds, fish farming, flora, fauna, and nature conservation. The building has been a listed building since 2011 due to its special value. Services usually take place on Sundays and public holidays at 9:30 a.m. The church is open to visitors during the parish office opening hours (Tuesdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.).
